FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

"Bamboo typically is more absorbent and softer than cotton. Very typical in cloth diapers. Recommend to wash cloth pads like you would cloth diapers to maintain absorbency (like using Charlies soap). If you use most any other detergents, the soap buildup will ruin them."

"I have not used cotton but bamboo is supposed to be softer and hold up to more washes than cotton. I also read that bamboo has natural antibacterial, anti fungal, and anti odor properties and it holds more moisture. You will want multiple pairs as you will find you will be washing then constantly. "The colored side. The "towel" side would help with absorption."

"The bamboo (very soft) side touches your skin facing in, the colored fabric side (slippery) faces away from you. You would quickly figure this out as only the bamboo side is absorbent :) "

Do these have to be worn with a bra or can they be worn with just a shirt?

"It shouldn't show at all with a padded/hard cup bra. I wear mine with an UNpadded bra or a cami, and as long as I make sure they aren't folded over, they don't really show. "

"You could probably manage to wear them with only a shirt but they probably won’t stay in place very well."

"...It won't show through a padded bra that's how I'm able to wear them to work. "

"I wash and dry these on delicate and low heat with my baby's clothes and detergent."

"We wash them with towels and put in dryer to make sure any yeast, etc.is killed. Washing and drying makes them softer. "

If fabric softener is used on these pads, are they ruined or can they be rewashed and dried again to restore them?

"If you use it once on accident, they should be okay but the fabric softener will destroy their absorbability over time. I don't use any fabric softer on my clothes ever. "

A. Blandford answered on February 15, 2018

"Fabric softener will affect how well they absorb liquid. After one time they won’t be ruined but the more you use softener on them the less they will absorb making them useless."
